Generations...A Lasting Legacy

From Our Pastor

In the past 14 1/2 years which I have served here at First Baptist Church, I have never been as excited and challenged as I am about the opportunity which I believe that God has placed before us today. Now because of God's power and faithfulness, we have a chance to do something that will last for generations to come. That's why we are calling this new faith-building campaign GENERATIONS. Check out the video below.

Take a deep look into the eyes of our children and grandchildren, and you'll realize that tomorrow is at stake. I've heard it stated, "Whoever wants the next generation the most will get them." The hope of future generations rests on us today. That's why we believe it is God's vision for us to build this multi-purpose building. It is a building that will reach out to all generations.

This phase in the life of our church is more than building a new building. It is investing in a lasting legacy that will continue long beyond our lifetime. Our generation touching tomorrow's generation...truly a God thing! I love you, and I thank God for the privilege of serving here with you and joining with you in this campaign. --Lamar
